TN Visa

Under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), citizens of Mexico and Canada are able to work temporarily in the United States in the TN visa category for an initial period of up to 3 years. To be eligible for a TN visa, your profession must qualify under the regulations.   Engineers, teachers, lawyers, pharmacists, accountants, and scientists are among the professionals permitted under this visa classification.

While Canadian citizens are not required to apply for a TN visa at a U.S. consulate, Mexican citizens are subject to this requirement. For assistance with this process, contact an experienced immigration attorney at Fears | Nachawati for a consultation.
