Bryan is a founding partner at Fears | Nachawati, responsible for overseeing the business law and bankruptcy side of the firm. Bryan values customer service and appreciates and enjoys the problem solving aspects of his practice. A first generation college graduate, Bryan received his BS in Biology from Baylor University. Bryan then went on to receive his Juris Doctor from South Texas School of Law. Bryan is licensed to practice law in the states of Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado, as well as being admitted to the Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern districts of the US Federal Court in Texas and the US District court in Colorado.

As a high school and college student Bryan worked in his South Texas hometown steel mill and even spent a summer on an off-shore oil rig. He is an avid runner and enjoys participating in half marathons and practicing with his running club around White Rock Lake. Bryan relaxes by reading and enjoys traveling with his wife and son. Bryan is also helping his parents establish a vineyard and winery on their ranch in East Texas.

A founding partner of Fears | Nachawati, Majed focuses on products liability, pharmaceutical liability, class action, personal injury, and civil litigation. Majed attended Southern Methodist University where he was a double major in History and Political Science. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Houston. Majed finds the best part of his work to be holding people accountable for their actions and righting wrongs. He finds great gratification in helping his clients.

Originally from Fort Worth, Majed's father is Lebanese and his mother is Mexican. Majed speaks English, Spanish, and Arabic. He enjoys spending time with his family and watching his daughter grow. Majed lives in East Dallas with his wife and daughter. They spend family time exploring White Rock Lake and the Dallas Arboretum.

As a partner at Fears | Nachawati, John manages the firm’s criminal defense and family law practice sections.  These courtroom intensive areas of law often carry high stakes for those involved.  John enjoys the challenge of arguing his clients’ cases before a judge and jury.  Originally from Louisiana, John attended high school at the Culver Academies in Indiana.  He attend Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelor's degree in Political Science.  After college, John earned his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas.  John is licensed to practice in the States of Texas and Missouri, and has been admitted to the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas Federal Court.

John is deeply devoted to helping people who have been challenged by the legal system.  His ability to understand and empathize with his clients helps him to successfully defend their cases.  John currently lives in Lake Highlands with his wife and daughter.  John loves being a dad and spending time with his family.  He and his wife are avid travelers, including honeymooning in Japan, dove hunting in Argentina, and experiencing many of the eclectic cultures in Europe.  When he needs to take a break from the office, John likes to hit the ski slopes or take a couple of days to relax on the Texas coast.

As a partner at Fears | Nachawati, Matthew manages the firm’s Employment and Medical Malpractice sections.  He enjoys pursuing justice for his clients.  Prior to joining Fears | Nachawati, Matthew was a partner with a firm in Frisco, Texas, and focused on representing individuals.  He has also worked as an in-house attorney for a large corporation.  While working as an in-house attorney Matthew gained valuable knowledge of how corporations deal with claims from individuals. He uses this knowledge to help individuals who, through no fault of their own, have been wrongfully injured or terminated.  His experience and knowledge help individuals come to an expedited resolution.

Matthew attended Texas A&M University where he received his Bachelor's degree in International Studies.  After college, Matthew earned his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas.  He is licensed to practice in the State of Texas, and has been admitted to the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas Federal Court. Matthew is fluent in Spanish.  He enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.  Matthew also enjoys providing volunteer service in the community and in his church.

Depinder’s practice at Fears | Nachawati focuses on business law, immigration law, and estate planning.  Born in London, England and raised in Florida, Depinder received degrees in Political Science, International Studies, and Economics from the University of Miami and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate. Following college, Depinder moved to Northern California and received his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco.  After law school, he worked in criminal defense litigation for several years, giving him a keen understanding of how cases reach the court system and the ability to advise clients appropriately. Depinder is licensed to practice in the state of Florida.

Depinder finds fulfillment in his practice of law by assisting clients with their personal and business-related legal questions. He is able to quickly focus on the issue at hand and propose creative, yet effective solutions.  In his free time, Depinder enjoys traveling and exploring new cities.  He tries to get outside as much as possible and is always looking for new places to hike and kayak.  Depinder is also passionate about contributing to the local community and is actively involved with several civic and non-profit organizations in Dallas.

Sean's primary focus at Fears | Nachawati is in bankruptcy law. A graduate of the University of North Texas, Sean went on to get his JD from the University of St. Mary's School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas, as well as being admitted to the U.S. Federal Court in the Northern, Eastern and Western District of Texas. Sean obtained his undergraduate degree in Political Science and History. He also studied while in law school at Innsburck, Austria, at the St. Mary’s Institute on World Legal Problems, having as one of his lecturer's Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.

Having become an Eagle Scout in his youth, Sean understands loyalty and dedication. This transfers over to the service he provides to his clients. Having grown up in Grapevine, Texas, Sean now lives in Austin and manages the Austin office of Fears | Nachawati. Sean loves the music and festival scene in Austin and in his spare time you will find him exploring different venues, sometimes with his dog in tow.

Jay predominately practices in the Personal Injury Section of Fears | Nachawati. Prior to joining the firm as an attorney, Jay was a law clerk at firms with both national and international practices where he had the opportunity to train through various types of litigation including personal injury, mass torts, medical malpractice, commercial litigation, employment law, and international law cases. During law school, Jay was one of four students selected to represent Southern Methodist University at the Vis Moot Court Competition in Vienna, Austria, that features the top advocates from law schools from over 100 countries each year. Jay gained an interest in advocacy at an early age and was a Texas State policy debate champion in high school. Jay speaks English and Spanish and is ready to get to work to serve whatever the needs of each client may be.

Matthew focuses on mass torts litigation at Fears | Nachawati. Originally from Arkansas, Matthew graduated with honors from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Journalism. Following college, he moved to Dallas and received his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.  Matthew is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and is a member of several local organizations. While in law school, Matthew was an intern at the Human Rights Initiative where he worked in the asylum and battered women legal divisions. He enjoys helping clients and has gained valuable insight in the area of mass torts litigation.

When he has free time, Matthew enjoys hiking, swimming, and running in 5ks. He has a passion for travel and exploring new places and countries. As an undergrad, he interned for a parliamentarian in the Parliament of Australia and worked on a documentary in India about exiled Tibetans living in refugee camps and monasteries all over the country. In the coming years, Matthew would like to visit Russia for either the Winter Olympics or the World Cup, and also plans on exploring some of the national and state parks closer to home.

Brit has been practicing law in Texas for more than 30 years. He is board certified in personal injury litigation by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Brit grew up in Irving, Texas after his family relocated from Roanoke, Virginia when he was a baby. Brit attended Texas Tech University for his undergraduate degree and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas. Brit is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and is admitted to the Northern District of Texas.

Brit lives with his wife, two teenage sons, and three dogs in the Lakewood area of Dallas. For the past fifteen years, Brit has been involved in the Dallas Tennis League where he has competed in the men’s singles division. He enjoys attending his sons sporting events, which include swimming and track meets, as well as basketball games. When not at his sons games, Brit and his wife enjoy taking their three dogs for long walks around their Lakewood neighborhood and White Rock Lake.

Originally from Orlando, Florida, Melissa went to college at Florida State University and went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law. Besides being licensed to practice law in Texas, Melissa is also licensed in the state of Florida. Prior to moving to Dallas, Melissa worked in communications for Florida Governor Charlie Christ. She also worked as a staff attorney for the 7th circuit court.

Not originally from Dallas, Melissa loves exploring the city, trying new restaurants and going antiquing. She has traveled extensively throughout Europe and while in college she studied in Florence, Italy. Melissa loves sports and is a former Volleyball and Softball player.

She is passionate about helping small businesses and individuals protect their intellectual property. Sophilia graduated with honors from the Business Honors Program at the Red McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin in 2009 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She received her Juris Doctorate from Baylor Law School in 2009. While she was in law school she was president of the Christian Legal Society and president and founder of the Asian Law Students Association.

Sophilia grew up in Plano, Texas, and is happy to be back in the Dallas area. She is grateful to be close to family and friends again. Sophilia also loves to travel, try new foods and explore new cities. She speaks Mandarin Chinese fluently and enjoys visiting her relatives in Asia. While she was in college, she studied in Sydney, Australia, and traveled the Great Ocean Road and the east coast during breaks. She hopes to visit New Zealand and Central and South America in the near future.

Ben practices in the Bankruptcy law section at Fears | Nachawati.  He completed his undergraduate degree as a government major at the University of Texas. Ben moved to Miami, Florida to complete his Juris Doctor at St. Thomas University, where he was an Article’s Editor for the Law Review.  Ben is licensed to practice in both Florida and Texas, and is admitted into the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.  After law school, Ben remained in Miami where he practiced insurance defense.  Originally from Houston, Ben moved back to Texas in 2009, where he has focused primarily on Bankruptcy law.

Although adjusting to life in Dallas, Ben remains an avid fan of Houston sports teams.  In his free time, Ben enjoys going to new restaurants and discovering dog friendly parks and patios to get his dog, Oscar, out on the town.  Ben also enjoys traveling and attempting to cook without burning down the kitchen.

Originally from Pearsall, Texas, Tyler grew up on a  ranch and raised cattle, chickens and rabbits and she was on the rodeo team in college.  She moved to Dallas after graduating from law school. She loves to travel and visit her friends throughout the country as well as spending time watching Scandal, Downton Abbey and The Goodwife. Tyler is also raising a rambunctious persian kitten named Gigi.

Andrea practices in the Business Law section at Fears | Nachawati with a focus in Intellectual Property and Art Law. After attending Southern Methodist University for her undergraduate degree, Andrea received her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law. Andrea is licensed to practice law in the States of Texas and Florida, as well as being admitted to the U.S. Federal Court in the Northern District of Texas. Prior to joining Fears | Nachawati Andrea worked with the Supreme Court of Panama as a mediator trainer, helping to develop a mediation program for their court system. In addition to her work at Fears | Nachawati, Andrea is a board member of the Texas Accountants & Lawyers for the Arts.

Andrea was born-and-raised in Texas, having grown up in Livingston. A self-proclaimed foodie, Andrea enjoys exploring the various restaurants in the Dallas area. Andrea also enjoys great wine, especially those from the Rioja region in Spain. Andrea likes to spend her free time painting, going to concerts, and viewing Wes Anderson films.

Paul grew up in Grapevine, Texas but he has familial roots in Panama and New Jersey. He is an avid New York Yankees and Dallas Stars fan. When he has time, Paul enjoys the outdoors. He can be found at the ranch dove hunting, target shooting, and skeet shooting with his friends. He also has a passion for travel. During law school he studied abroad in Austria. Paul can speak fluent Spanish and conversational German.

Adam practices in the business law section of Fears | Nachawati, with a focus in intellectual property, trademark law, and copyright law. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin, and went on to attend Texas Wesleyan School of Law where he focused on trademark and copyright law. While in law school, Adam did in-depth research on copyright law and the doctrine of fair use.  Adam’s love for the arts fuels his passion to create and develop unique strategies for clients’ intellectual property. He believes that his clients are the most important part of his practice and strives to make every client feel confident in his ability to protect their legal interest.

Adam is a life time Texan and an avid UT sports fan. He loves nature and enjoys walking through the local parks. When he has time he relaxes with a nice novel or is busy attending one of the many sporting events offered in the city. Adam attends local music venues for concerts, and also enjoys taking in the atmosphere of Austin, the Live Music Capital of the World.

Megan is responsible for managing the Fears | Nachawati office which includes overseeing human resources and accounting. Originally a computer science major, Megan graduated cum laude with a degree in Finance from the University of Houston. Ensuring the firm runs efficiently and productively is Megan’s chief role at Fears | Nachawati.

Megan loves spending time with her little boy and watching him learn and make new discoveries. When Megan isn’t enjoying time with her son she likes to relax with a glass of wine and a good book, especially a Harry Potter novel. Before becoming a mother, Megan and her husband were avid travelers, especially enjoying their visits to Barcelona and Buenos Aries.

Avani is a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and has worked at Fears | Nachawati for more than five years. She enjoys the law and is excited to one day attend law school. Avani oversees the firm's daily operations and keeps the entire team on track.

Originally from Carrollton, Texas, Avani is a first generation American. She enjoys spending her free time playing with her Golden Retriever, participating on the firm's kickball team, and following the Dallas Mavericks. She is an avid fan of UT football.

Vanessa is the firm administrator at Fears | Nachawati. She works together with Megan Fears and Katie Henry in the continuing growth of the firm. She is responsible for accounting and accounts receivable. A native of Irving, Texas, Vanessa has volunteered with the Internal Revenue Service and is currently studying to be an accountant. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. In her spare time Vanessa enjoys visiting art museums and galleries, running half marathons, and spending time with her family.

Aaron is a legal assistant in the bankruptcy department at Fears | Nachawati.  His primary responsibilities at the firm include conducting phone consultations with potential clients, placing reminder calls for Section 341 meetings, and handling intake for bankruptcy referrals.  Aaron began his career with Fears | Nachawati in February 2012 after completing his bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of North Texas.  In addition, Aaron holds an associate’s degree in paralegal studies from Dallas County Community College and currently attends law school in the evening at the SMU Dedman School of Law.

Aaron is a lifelong Texan and proud of it.  He was born in Dallas, raised in Lewisville, and currently resides in Plano, Texas.  Although his combined responsibilities between work and school leave little time for recreation, Aaron does enjoy going to small independently-owned restaurants to try new food, reading about history and current events, following national and state-level politics and he especially enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs.

Since joining Fears | Nachawati in October 2013 as a legal assistant, Henry has helped each department with administrative tasks and prepared Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases. He is the person people turn to for assistance when situations arise that require immediate action and results. Whether it is putting together petitions or following up with clients, Henry's attention to detail and care for each client is what makes him a key component to the team.

Henry was born and raised in the bay area of California and graduated from the University of North Texas in 2010 with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. He enjoys spending time with his friends, family, girlfriend and with his puppy, Sam. Henry also loves to play guitar, to sing, and is a diehard fan of the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland A's.

Growing up, Pam moved around quite a bit with her family. While her father was working as a contractor in Iran during the late 1970's, she and her family had to be evacuated during their revolution. In her spare time Pam enjoys reading, shooting pool, fishing, and relaxing on the beach.

As a managing paralegal for Fears | Nachawati, Rebecca primarily works with Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases. In addition, she also assists with Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases and supervises the day-to-day operations within the bankruptcy department. Rebecca began her career in Montana as a litigation legal secretary while concurrently serving as an assistant to a Montana state senator. She received a Bachelor’s of Science in Business from Dallas Baptist University and also holds a paralegal certification.

Although Rebecca has lived as far away as Wyoming and Montana, she is a true Texan at heart. She was born in Austin and currently resides in Denton County. Outside of fulfilling her duties at Fears | Nachawati, Rebecca enjoys engaging in outdoor activities, such as camping and hiking, with her husband and two young sons. Her other hobbies include traveling, knitting and cooking family meals.

Originally from Colorado, Jacqueline began her undergraduate education at Colorado College, where she majored in Business Administration. Jacqueline finds the most satisfying aspect of her work to be helping clients get back on their feet, while at the time starting them on the road to recovery for a better and brighter financial future.

When she is not performing her duties at Fears | Nachawati, Jacqueline enjoys spending time with her teenage daughter and watching her play year round soccer for her club team. She also enjoys reading, going to the movies with friends, and playing with her two Chiweenies named Shadow and Bunny.
