Fears | Nachawati files suit in California over privacy concerns

December 30, 2010

Fears | Nachawati has filed suit on behalf of its clients in California alleging that its clients privacy rights were violated by Apple, Inc.  Apple, along with the makers of popular applications such as Textplus4, Paper Toss, Weather Channel, Dictionary.com, Talking Tom Cat and Pumpkin Maker, has been accused of passing personal user information to third parties without the knowledge or consent of its customers.  The Wall Street Journal had previously reported that smartphone applications such as those implicated in the firm’s lawsuit shared personal data "widely and regularly" without agreement of consumers.
